Looking for Bands/ Support Haiti Jan 31 Rock 'n Roll Hotel

From my friend Deanna,

Hi......I'm asking everyone in the DC area to spread the word about MUSIC HELPING HAITI Sunday Jan. 31st at ROCK & ROLL HOTEL in DC 7pm-12...... Tickets are just $12

We are doing a concert benefit for the Haiti earthquake victims, much like an event we did when the cyclone hit Myanmar in 2008 to get an idea please check out www.musicformyanmar.org we had a lot of local and national press with Music For Myanmar, and we will have the same with the concert event for Haiti..... A lot of people do events and only a % of door goes to help, BUT not us, 100% of the ticket price goes to The Red Cross International Disaster Relief Fund for Haiti, this is about getting together and helping people......Rock & Roll Hotel in DC is donating their venue again for us on Sunday Jan. 31st......the reason we are doing this in 2 weeks is because of the dire help these people need! http://www.rockandrollhoteldc.com/portal/

We are in talks with a major internet company to do a live video feed of the concert, that way people can watch the event all around the world and be able to click and donate to the Red Cross instantly........

So far we have:

Todd Wright http://orangepopsongs.com/ http://www.myspace.com/orangepopsongs

Honor By August http://www.myspace.com/honorbyaugust

In its young career Honor By August has already played arena stages, had its music broadcast to millions and won the Grand Prize in Billboard's World Song Contest.
"Now widely considered one of the most promising new talents on the East Coast," (Washington Post) Honor By August makes music characterized by "distinctive, inviting vocals and anthemic, reverb-drenched guitars" (MetroMusicScene.com) and built on "award-winning songwriting, strong vocals, catchy melodies, and dynamic live performance" (Jenni Chase, Washington's Z104/OnTap Magazine).

AND Michaela Thurlow who appeared on Disney's Icarly http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2684636/ and she performed our theme song "Wave of Relief" at MUSIC FOR MYANMAR will be back performing, she is writing a song for Haiti......check out her song "Wave of Relief" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5FknzzYm5E&feature=related VERY POWERFUL!

We are just getting started, more bands/musicians on the way!

We hope you can be part of this event.....

Look forward to talking with you,
